Sometimes I feel like I am on top of the world

Life finds me at Snowshoe, WV, now. We are gearing up for the ski season to commence, and during my short time here I have managed to make quite a few good friends. For the first time in my life, I am working two jobs, and surprisingly, I am not despising it. That is probably just b/c the snow hasn't started flying yet. My day job is working at the call center booking reservations for people. I don't find it to be that bad of a job as long as you have a break between calls, but it can get really monotonous (sp?) taking call after call after call. My other job is working at the Foxfire Grille up here on the mountain. I love it there. We bust our asses while working but at the end of the night they let us sit at the bar and drink for free basically and your pocket usually has at least 75 bucks in it, this being before the season picks up. I'll be looking at 150-300 bucks a night when things kick into gear around here. Dunno how long I'll be holding down two jobs then, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I seem to have fit right in up here and I love the atmosphere. Everyone is in that party/vacation mindstate. On my way to work every morning, I am greeted with breathtaking views of the Appalachians surrounding me. I am happy here, and the most surprising thing about it is that I haven't needed a girl to make me happy. For most of my life I have put stock into trying to find that one. I finally said "Fuck it" and now I'm doing what makes me happy. Everything else is falling into place around me. I get my first paycheck tomorrow so things will be all downhill from here on out. Looking into getting a few hoodies and a new ski jacket and some boarding pants, not to mention skis for me and my lil sis (surprise christmas present for her).

My mom is doing much better now. Those of you closest to me know what I am talking about. She is going to come through all of this and be fine, just don't know how long it will take to come full circle. Please keep her in your prayers.

I am busy all the time, but the time with the people I have come to known up here is always a blast, and this weekend officially kicks off the party season here at Snowshoe. I hope I make it ok to work on Monday.

Oh yeah, how bout that Mountaineer win on Saturday in TRIPLE OT. One of the best games I have ever seen. Marshall will forever pale in comparison and will always suck. I leave Blue and Gold fans everywhere with this picture of glory...
